A gigantic Mardi Gras parade in Uptown New Orleans featuring the largest krewe in Mardi Gras History and some of the best bead, doubloon, and trinket throws of all the krewes.
Event Details
The Krewe of Endymion Mardi Gras Parade is one of the biggest Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans featuring the biggest of all the super krewes, Endymion, named after the Olympian god of fertility and eternal youth.
Their motto is "Throw until it hurts" so expect a ton of beads, cups, doubloons and trinkets thrown into the crowd during the procession.
In addition to generous throws there will be a ton of floats, marching bands, costumed characters, and more at the 2012 Krewe of Endymion Mardi Gras Parade.
Endymion has a tradition of celebrity marshalls. Past appearances have included Anderson Cooper, Maroon 5, Kid Rock, Kevin Coster, and many more.
The parade route begins at the intersection of Orleans and City Avenues in Uptown New Orleans. For more information, visit the event website listed above.
