At the Learning Lab, students and teachers pursue learning in new, innovative, non-traditional ways that excite and inspire them.
The goals of the Learning Laboratory are:
To offer high-quality, low-cost extracurricular programs for students utilizing the latest tech tools and non-traditional teaching practices throughout the school year, culminating in a full-day summer camp
To engage students and teachers in an ongoing series of unique, authentic off-site learning experiences including local field trips and regional, national and international travel
To offer a full calendar of "a la carte” professional development for teachers addressing a variety of "hot topics”
To create a hub for forward-thinking educators to convene and share ideas/ best practices
The Learning Laboratory is led by Tinashe Blanchet, an experienced, state-certified teacher and teacher trainer who knows what works in the classroom and how to lead successful professional development for teachers. Visit her website at http://mrsblanchet.net to learn more about her work.
