The Parisian Courtyard Inn is one of the oldest buildings in New Orleans. Built in 1846 by Rufus McIlhenny of the Tabasco family. The monolithic columns frame the wrought iron balcony to protect the stucco facade and 12 foot walk-thru windows.
Enter the huge door to the great hall with double parlors and a sweeping six-foot circular staircase to upstairs. Front and rear brick and slate courtyards with fountains provide a tranquil, relaxing setting.
In 2005-2006 the home was lovingly restored retaining the historic charm while incorporating all the modern amenities expected in a fine hotel. New baths, separate HVAC in each room, hardwood floors, carpet, TV/DVD and refrigerators. Some rooms have balconies.
