Description
100 Public Square has been a restaurant as long as anyone I have spoken to. In or about 1928 it became one of the numerous Isaly's stores, and was one of the LAST Isaly's stores to close when the Isaly's Corporation ceased to function, killed by the new 7-11 stores, and gas stations that sold groceries, as a main staple of Isaly's book of business, was milk, ice cream, and it's deli section, all housed inside its restaurant.
This Isaly's store was owned and operated by Ed Archer when the corporation closed , and Ed then decided to keep it open under his family name, and it became Archers. It is now operated by the Joseph family of Carrollton, and maintains employees from as long as 35 years ago!
Come in and get an Isaly's BBQ ham sandwich and a thick milk shake!
