Roux Carré

Roux Carré is a project of the GoodWork network; a firm that helps minority and women-owned small businesses grow.This food court promotes community development by: providing a low-cost, low-overhead means of market entry for aspiring food service businesses; establishing a unique, culturally grounded gathering space; creating jobs for low-income individuals; and bringing vacant property in a low-income neighborhood back into commerce in a way that honors its culturally and historically rich location. In line with Good Work Network's mission, preference will be given to minority- and women-owned vendors.
The food court will be located at 2000 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. Roux Carré will include six enclosed vendor stalls, a commercial kitchen, covered outdoor seating and gathering space, a cooking demonstration area, and a performance stage. Parking will be provided on site.
