Come out to the New Orleans Botanical Garden to learn about the Natural History of City Park's Dragonfly and Damselfly communities!

Saturday, September 22, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The Natural History of City Park's Dragonfly
You will be able to see some dragonflies and damselflies on display, and then we will head out into the garden to observe these insects in their natural habitats. Participants will learn a variety of things from their natural history, to how to properly catch and handle these creatures!
$10 adults
$5 for children over 7-pay at the Oscar J. Tolmas Center
Andrew Harper is a senior at Loyola University New Orleans from St. Louis, Missouri. He is currently conducting research on the species diversity and abundance of dragonflies and damselflies within New Orleans City Park. New Orleans, especially, can be home to many diverse ecosystems and the ecosystems within urban environments is what has shaped my research interests. He is planning to do a more intensive study on how dragonflies and damselflies interact within urban ecosystems in his graduate program.
Class is located in the Lath House/Garden Study Center, New Orleans Botanical Garden in City Park
