Designed to introduce the basic building blocks of reading and give children the skills to read for themselves!

We use Hooked on Phonics Learn to Read PreKindergarten-Second grade:

Pre-K:
-Helps kids learn letter names, sounds, and even shapes

-Includes fun activities--such as simple online games and music videos--to reinforce important concepts

Kindergarten:
-Demonstrates how to blend letter sounds together to form simple words

-Introduces slightly more complex words in each unit

First:
-Progresses to bigger books with longer sentences

-Introduces more complex themes in the storybooks

-Helps children build confidence in reading as they tackle more complex words--each storybook is composed of words that your child has learned so far in the program

Second:
-Progresses to more advanced letter combinations

-Includes complex consonant blends and silent letters

-Prepares your young readers for chapter books

-Always ends in a moment of celebration--each unit concludes with a storybook your child reads to you!
