McDonogh #28 City Park Academy

ReNEW's McDonogh City Park Academy is a Pre-K through 8th grade public charter located in the MidCity neighborhood of New Orleans. MCPA is a school that allows students to experience an arts-integrated curriculum enhanced by partnerships with The President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, Louisiana A Plus and The Rodrigue Foundation. Our curriculum will feature learning through hands-on art activities. As part of a vibrant arts community, the MCPA Thunderbird Band, Dance and Flag teams participate in Mardi Gras parades each year. The school offers a laptop for every child for use at home and at school as part of a program to incorporate blended learning.

The achievement gap can and will be eliminated. We will do this through strong, targeted instructional practices. The best education happens within orderly environments and creativity can be expressed within this.
