Permanently Closed.. At the turn of the 20th century, E.J. Bellocq, a quiet Marine photographer, secretly photographed the madams of Storyville, New Orleans' famed red light district. Bellocq's photographs captured the essence of Storyville in a way that the public had never seen before. They were only discovered upon Bellocq's death, secretly stored in his private belongings.

Inspired by the photographer's gripping images of a pre-prohibition sexual revolution, Bellocq is a new cocktail lounge located in The Hotel Modern New Orleans. Neal Bodenheimer, Kirk Estopinal and Matthew Kohnke, owners and operators of New Orleans' renowned Cure, have created a cocktail menu like no other for Bellocq. It features the innovative approach to mixology which has made them an institution of New Orleans' nightlife and a touchstone for cocktail enthusiasts worldwide.
