Manny Randazzo is a second generation baker, learning the art of baking from his father, Manny Randazzo Sr. In 1965, Manny Sr., along with his father and brothers, opened the renowned Randazzo’s HiLan Bakery in Chalmette, Louisiana.
In 1992, Manny opened his full-service bakery under the direction of his father. In 1995, because of high demand, Manny decided to devote his business exclusively to the baking of the Randazzo king cake. This business not only grew from the great demand locally but also has spread all over the country with year-round overnight delivery to share this Mardi Gras tradition.
In 2012, after a city-wide taste test of several New Orleans bakeries, the New Orleans Times Picayune crowned Manny Randazzo the "King of King Cake" for his Pecan Praline king cake.
