Country Day Creative Arts

Country Day Creative Arts is a 5 week summer multi-arts program for children ages 7 (and entering 2nd grade) through 14. Youngsters come from over 50 schools. Strong committed Artists from New Orleans and around the country teach open ended classes in drawing, painting sculpture, music, theater, creative writing, dance, cooking, photography, mosaics, puppetry, stiltwalking, video, radio, sign language, inventions, woodworking, swimming, fencing, gymnastics, team games, martial arts, yoga and more... Young people have an individualized daily schedule of 5 classes in the areas of interest they have chosen. The program culminates with a magnificent evening community Arts Festival with works conceived and executed by each child who attends.
